Anxiety
is almost all I do, and I’ve
been doing it for a long time.
I have been in private practice
specializing in anxiety for
the past ten years, and for
10 years I was the Director
of the Anxiety Disorders Treatment
Programs at the University of
Connecticut Medical School in
Farmington, CT. I have written
many papers, and delivered many
public addresses about anxiety
and especially about OCD. I
am writing a book about OCD
titled: And You
Think You're Crazy.
Many of the clinicians in the
Connecticut and Western Massachusetts
area know me simply as “Joe
Brown, the OCD and Anxiety Guy”.
I got my Bachelors degree in
Psychology from the State University
of New York College at Buffalo,
my Masters degree in Social
Sciences and my Doctorate in
Clinical & Community Psychology
from the State University of
New York at Buffalo.
I
am licensed to practice Clinical
Psychology in both Connecticut
and Massachusetts.
